Melbourne German Week is celebrating every year
Running in 2025 from 20 – 26 October, German Week Melbourne is an annual celebration that brings together the rich cultural, economic, and academic ties between Germany and Australia. This week-long festival offers a unique platform to explore and experience German heritage, innovation, and contemporary culture.

From music, food, and art to forward-thinking events in science, business, and education, German Week showcases the best of Germany’s contributions to the world. It fosters connections between local communities, German-Australian businesses, and the wider public, while offering insights into Germany’s cutting-edge industries, sustainability initiatives, and educational opportunities.
Whether you’re passionate about German culture or interested in Germany’s global influence, German Week Melbourne offers a wide variety of events, including panel discussions, exhibitions, film screenings, and networking opportunities. We are super excited to bring our culture to you each year and cure some of that "Heimweh" (homesickness). We will be celebrating our unified country (1990) with a worthy Reception at the Opening Night and the must-do Oktoberfest. Other exciting events include a Trivia Night, a Movie Party, Science, Innovation and Business Days, as well as days on Language, Arts and Heritage.
